We got a cat at really short notice (ex-breeding girl - sent from Canberra to new family in QLD last week, someone was allergic, breeder posted on Facebook Sunday night, I replied, cat was sent to Melbourne today). Her real name is Freya and she's 4 years old. I think we'll call her something else but I don't know what yet. She is very sweet and kneads everything, her paws are huge, and her meow is this ominous, deep yowl which is really funny to hear from such a dainty cat.
We picked her up from the airport this afternoon and she cried the entire way home. We put her in the bathroom so she could relax and settle in but she explored it all in under 5 minutes and kept standing near the door so we let her explore the rest of the house. Eventually she let us pat her, then she started following us around the house, and now she's sleeping at my feet while I work in bed. She has adapted very quickly and is a good successor to Egg in personality and looks, but is obviously a very different cat with different characteristics. She's better travelled for a start
