The many faces of Bug

Bug is a very funny cat. She is lazy and sleeps a lot but is also prone to mood swings and makes this weird huffing noise if you put your face too close to hers, usually accompanied by a quick and ineffective paw swipe. Around the same time every night she wakes up and demands attention by biting our ankles. She's actually doing it right now (demanding attention, not biting me thankfully, she's just lying on the floor staring at me) so I should probably acquiesce to her demands

Today I woke up to find her sitting on the floor with a ribbon in her mouth (she hates the ribbon by the way, it's her favourite thing to attack/destroy)

This is what she's doing right now (as mentioned earlier), which is to say that she walks around the house after waking up and then flops over in a spot where I can see her, and she bashes her tail wildly against the floor while staring at me until I brush her or we play with the ribbon

Random photos from Easter break

Visited a friend in Abbotsford, so I drove (stupid? Not really because public transport on a Sunday is bad), and conveniently pulled over to check the Melways (hate GPS) across the road from this building. When I was on the cusp of 18 I used to spend a lot of time being an idiot in the factories and silos around here (two of the silo complexes are apartments now). I would like to come back in the future to take photos of whatever remains (like this factory)

Sun reflecting from giant apartment building onto small but nice factory

Is there anything better than going to Coles at 10:52 pm when they're closing at 11 pm and you just need to buy cat food and it's the only food they don't have in stock? But for once I got a park right outside which is superb

Once I was parked next to the arcade on the right and it was very late at night and you could see rats inside the shops, locked in and making nests in fabric curtains, it was very cool

Victoria University Student Village, Maidstone

This place is cool, but I'm not going to describe it because someone else already did. I'm annoyed I didn't visit when the site was still functioning, it would've been easy to blend in with the student population and see more than just the buildings that line Williamson Rd (security was present this afternoon so I did not stray from the footpath to take these photos).

Anyway, it looks like a cool place to live, but I'm sure former residents are much happier with the new tower constructed across the road from the Footscray Park campus, unless they're like me and appreciate the design of these buildings

Pile of tables - there were a lot of these around

Nissen hut and rabbit

I haven't seen a bin like the one on the right in many years

Student accommodation on the site included a small number of houses too

Back of other houses and a soccer goal

Thompson Street Reserve, Avondale Heights

Yet another post about visiting some place after going to LaManna on a Saturday. So predictable, I know. The view of River Valley Estate is nice, but the view from there is way better, sorry Avondale Heights

I tried to mentally picture a bridge across this valley from Duke St to wherever but I couldn't do it. It's too weird and I can see why proposals to connect each side of the valley never came to fruition

Not at the park - nice view though
